RR Projects obtains the right to issue the CE Mark

Following a Compliance audit by TUV Rheinland, RR Projects are authorised to issue the CE Mark for erecting steel structures. This comes about as a result of complying with EN1090-1. As a major part of EN1090 requires quality welding, RR Projects applied to TUV Rheinland for and gained accreditation to ISO 3834.

In order to obtain the CE Mark, all structural metallic components for the execution of structures, are now required to be certified to EN 1090-2. Being qualified to issue this mark, which is mandatory across the European Union area, an organisation must be accredited to EN 1090-2. CE Marking for all construction products, covered by a harmonised European standard or conforming to a European Technical Assessment, became mandatory on 1 July 2013. For fabricated structural steelwork, CE Marking will become mandatory on 1 July 2014.

Being an erector of Air Cooled Condensers (ACCs), this is particularly relevant to RR Projects. We are now qualified to certify that the completed structure is in compliance with all of the legal requirements of its erection.
